A native of Massachusetts, Peter grew up in the town of Norton and graduated from Marshfield High School.

Facing the draft, he enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1967 and served in Logistics and Military Police before retiring as an officer, in 1999. Peter resides in Pepperell, Massachusetts and Ewa Beach, Oahu, Hawii holds a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management.

Without formal art school, Peter has been drawing and painting all of his life, as a hobby. Throughout his military career, he took advantage of photo and painting opportunities in the countries he served in or visited. With no shortage of subjects and with so many beautiful places in the world, he claims it is hard to choose which picture to paint first so he works on multiple scenes at any given time.

Currently he is working on a six set series of paintings; themes ranging from San Diego, Japan, Italy, Greece, New England and Hawaii. His favorite medium is Acrylic but he has worked with watercolors, oils, pastel and is well suited for any. Although not formally schooled in art, Peter relies on his High School mechanical and architectural drafting class to set the foundation for his works. As noted by many, his paintings seem to focus around water and reflect vibrant colors and realism. Although his paintings are completed in his studio, he has been on the site of each of his paintings. With camera, paper and colored markers in hand, he sets out to capture the tone and details of his subjects. Often, he will drive by a scene, note the time of day then return at a time when the shadows are perfect.

In his travels, Peter has donated much of his free time to elementary school children who do not have the opportunity to draw and paint. During his tour in Viet Nam he spent his Sundays at an orphanage drawing for and with children. Peter has demonstrated technique and provided lectures on painting concepts to groups around the globe.

The paintings within this website are available in prints in the size indicated. Peter also accepts commissions. Please feel free to contact him by phone or Email.
